The town employees received a call this morning to stay home. Apparently, the Board of Selectman did not feel that they would require a handful to be there to take phone calls from curious or irrate customers and citizens.

Emergency Services at it's BEST folks!

Even when they are there, they're not.

Don't know what time they went to work, but I do know they were not answering the phone at around 7:15AM. Looks like the same spot that Puffer fixed a few years back. In the real world if you start at 7AM, it means you are ready to work at that time.

Don't be picking on our employees because they were smart enough to get a job where you can get to work when you please and start work when you please, come and go when you please, they are smarter then us.

Do you think that they will be making up the day of missed work?

THE DAY THE TOWN STOOD STILL; As I drove by the town hall there was 8 people town employeevstanding in a semi-circle peeping into a hole in the ground. As I waited to pass I never saw any movement just like time stood still. When I came back 2 hours later they were still standing there.

They worked, but if they had not I'm betting it wouldn't effect there pay.

Good News--Bad News said...

Good News--With Rick fixing the Puffer water leak we probably won't have to do it again in a couple of years. Bad News--They didn't bring the Grader down so Fred could have his afternoon nap. GOOD JOB GUYS

They must have thought it was ground hog day all over again, that's why the kept looking into the hole. They were waiting on a sign to see if they should actually work or just stand around thinking about it .. or something else.
