We received the following information from a concerned citizen this morning.
ATTENTION!!!ATTENTION!!!ATTENTION!!!
To all the citizens of Winchester...
Officer Nathan Jette was suspended and he ultimately resigned from the Winchester Police Department on Monday @ 10:30 am. On Wednesday a special department meeting was held and those in attendance were told of Jette's resignation. Jette has also resigned from the Richmond Police Department.
Let this be the begining of the fall of the rest of the Bozos who are leading the department. Phillips, Roberts & Fisher.
Whatever Jette was suspended for (rumor has it that the female officer may have filed a complaint against Jette) Phillips and Roberts are just as responsible for Jette's actions as Jette was. Why wasn't he suspended before this for the Danny Black tazering incident and the upcoming lawsuit against the town?
Hmmm... What was Jette's comment to Rafael Rivera when Rivera congratulated Jette on his promotion to Sergeant..." I had a great teacher". Jeeze Jette,. What bull crap loyalty this turned out to be. It is safe to say... what goes around, does coms around.
Hopefully this will prompt the town leaders to scrutinize Phillips and Roberts, especially Roberts , since he recommended Jette for the Sergeant's position and hopefully Phillips and Roberts will get their just desserts
and ger their butts canned too.
Let see...Theresa Sepe is elected as a selectwoman and within months Jette resigns after he is suspended. Could it be that Sepe has more fortitude than her male counterparts?
If Sepe had anything to do with Jette's resignation then she deserves appropriate recognition for doing what was right and just.
For Jette's sake, let this be a lesson learned, that everyone should be treatd equally, fairly and without retalliation and revenge which he did all too often.
How will Jette explain this to his wife and kids?
Looks like the cookie is crumbling folks

I would expect then that the Selectmen will have enough respect for this towns taxpayers and citizens to make an announcement. They need to have the decency to tell us why he was suspended and ultimately resigned. There has been a lot of controversy about this officer and the many things he has been accused of and admitted to doing. I expect that the BOS will finally be honest about what has been going on at the police dept. It’s time for the cover-ups to stop. The people have a right to know what kind of cops the Town hires and then seems to protect when they do something wrong. Phillips and Roberts need to be held accountable, this is all under their watch.
You are delusional if you really think that is going to happen. BOS being honest and forth coming...what a joke!
Hey Nate, is your office still too hot? Guess you shouldn't have complained so openly on facebook. PBIAB
Important things like this and the reasons behind them are always hidden from the public by this group of selectmen, especially Tedford and Ruth. For some unknown reasoning they think they don't have to answer to us, that they are above the masses and that we're too ignorant. Perhaps their real reasons for keeping us in the dark on so matter matters that affect us all is that we won't swallow their bullcrap explanations and are more intelligent than they think and that scares them.
So once again the people that run this blog who have provided us with so many facts on a variety of topics was right all along to suggest this guy be removed for his conduct. Too little too late I say; but good riddance he's gone. Now to get rid of the rest of the bunch that is just as bad, starting at the top. C'mon Tedford and Sepe, if you want to have any credibility with us, step up and hold Phillips responsible for the stooges he has recommended and you have allowed to be hired and start cleaning house. It's past time you showed some leadership and initiative and taken steps to turn this town around from it's spiral downward.
Expect nothing from the BOS. After all Tedford and Sepe are part of the blue wall so you won't be hearing any details on what really went on or why he was fired. They'll tell you it's a privacy thing or some other crap when in fact it's public information. Must have been something really bad for this to have happened so suddenly as Phillips and Roberts have been protecting him from scrutiny for over a year since he was caught stealing from the police dept. and harassing Brian Jordan and others. There's a smell permeating from our town hall and police department and it's not going to go away until matters like this are brought out into the open and accountability happens.
Good riddance.
To Open the doors and let the stink out, maybe the BOS won't be the ones to air the place out. You and others might want to check this out.

Did our Chief take his camper to the Hopkinton fair this year? If he did was it hauled with our 4x4, like is was in the past? JUST ASKING!
Surprise Surprise.
Like no one saw that train coming..................except maybe Jette, Phillips and Roberts.
You have no one to blame but yourself, you voted these people into office!!!!!! stupid is that stupid does!
Lets get real people!!!! The Chief going to the Hopkinton fair is a very old story. Phillips may be an IDIOT but he is not STUPID. He DID NOT nor did he ever take the departments 4x4 to the Hopkinton Fair. Every year he uses his vacation to go to the fair. Its his time to do as he pleases. Drop this dead issue!!! Stay on point and don't weaken the Informer's credibility with frivilous questions and comments. Keep the questions and facts legetimate
I'm sorry but I got a real good chuckle from:
Stay on point - I guess you have one way of looking at things that you can probably get others to agree with.
So you said Phillips is an idiot:

Thanks for the breakdown of stupid and idiot. Every once in a while some comes along who really, really makes a valuable, outstanding and fantastic observation!...DUH!!!
Back to the piont! The Hopkinton Fair is not an issue nor has it ever been, so leave it alone!
In the simplest of terms...keep the facts straight and don't waste everyone's time posting meaningless questions or unsubstantiated facts.
I don't believe it. I just wasted as muchtime addressing this point as you did breaking it down for all of to understand.
I guess we are all entitled from timt-to-time to a brain-fart/brainfart/brain fart??. Uh,oh..this one is not in the Randomhouse Unabridged Dictionary.
What is this world coming to?
And while all this foolishness is going on Clean Power is working hard to put a bio mass plant in Winchester and this is an example of why they will probably get to prove their point that they come to a town that is not smart enough to keep them out. Somehow every issues comes to this type of reaction and nothing ever happens.... people jump on the band wagon, complain or attack and just move on to the next issue or person to attack.
Fact is: the AG’s office has already found Phillips, Roberts and Platz in violation of the laws and found based on allegations they “did not follow the law when changing the authorized names on the Associations bank account”.
If you aren’t following the law, then you Are breaking the law.
Fact is: Phillips and Roberts and Platz broke the law and the AG’s office let them get away with it with a slap.
Fact is: Phillips was very dishonest with the AG’s office about what was really going on in the police dept at the time and covered up some very important facts. Would the AG’s have found differently had Phillips told the truth?
Fact is: the AG’s office clearly wrote in their decision, “Gary A Phillips, Christopher Roberts and Maryan Platz will hereby agree to the following:”
“1. Chief Phillips will resign immediately as the Acting Treasurer”
“2. Christopher Roberts and Maryan Platz will immediately resign as officers of the Winchester Police Association”
Fact is: The AG’s office doesn’t reprimand or admonish people when they are not violating the law. It appears that the AG’s office has exposed more of the underhanded, devious, unethical and illegal behavior of Phillips and Roberts and this fact is very well documented through the right to laws and the entire investigation, letters and notes are available through the AG”s office.
Fact is: In July of 2009, when Phillips asked by Breau and Reppucci, President and Treasurer, to sign documents and checks related to the Police Association they both refused to do so without first reviewing the documents themselves. Phillips refused the request to allow either of them to review documents that Phillips and Roberts filled out. Breau and Reppucci were the only 2 Officials in the association who had the authority to sign the documents. Rather than let them review the documents Phillips and Roberts pretended to have a police association meeting and they voted themselves in as President and Treasure to take over the association.
Does that sound legal and ethical?
Phillips and Roberts have a track record of using their power as police officers to circumvent the laws and undermine the rules.
Just like Jette, they need to go. It’s time to clean house.
Good Morning Blog,
Well this is good news especially for a certain postal worker who won't have to put up with being followed or harassed by officer Jette any more. Don't know why he wasn't suspended sooner for the Danny Black incident, guess the powers that be didn't feel that was a serious enough infraction, you know, lying and filling out a false report isn't a problem with our chief. Kinda makes you wonder what else the chief doesn't feel are serious issues.
In any case, he's gone and it's a good start, now for the rest of the bunch, what's the hold up?
Keep up the pressure, the resignation of Jette is the first step towards taking your town away from the greedy people that are running it now. Let the BOS know that you will not settle for lame explanations and secret meetings anymore.
What more is known about Roberts and his involvement in all of this?
There is so much corruption out of the WPD it’s no wonder about any of this. We are at the mercy of very corrupt individuals. Thankfully Jette is gone and now Phillips needs to explain his actions.
Reppucci was set up by Phillips. Phillips lied and Macie lied. Misinformation and lies were sent to Superior court by the town and the town’s attorneys in order to gain a favorable ruling from Superior Court regarding Reppucci’s termination.
From the judges ruling printed in the Keene Sentinel
“Arnold also ruled that Reppucci’s refusal to cooperate in the sheriff’s deputy’s investigation was insubordination, and appropriate grounds for dismissal.”
“Due process does not require that a police officer be provided the opportunity to consult with an attorney before answering questions regarding an internal investigation,” Arnold wrote.
Would the judges ruling have been different if Arnold knew it was a criminal investigation?
The ruling probably would have been something to this effect,
Due process does requires that a police officer (like any other citizen) be provided the opportunity to consult with an attorney before answering questions regarding a criminal investigation.
Reppucci did not refuse to cooperate in the sheriff’s deputies investigation but rather chose to exercise his Constitutional Right to speak with an attorney because he was being targeted for termination, therefore there was no insubordination and Reppucci’s due process rights were violated.
Read today's Sentinel, all are problems are caused because you bad taxpayers wont give the departments all the money they want to run there operations the way they want. These police depts. should start living in the real world. Time for change folks!
yeah, about Phillips and not having enough police on bike patrol. Nate Jette went to class at taxpayer expense to learn how to do bike control and to get certified.
This was done at taxpayer money.
Phillips hardly ever let him do bike patrol anyway.
Ok everyone. Let us all take a hard look at Phillip's performance.
Officer turnover within the last four years for a department of seven full time officers and six part-time officers is extremely high.
Officers who left:
Nate Jette
Theresa Sepe
Royce Pelkey
Rafael Rivera
Mike Pelton
John Lovely
John Melia
Dan Reppucci
Warren Breau.
That's nine police officers too many folks. Something is clearly wrong. This is poor management on Phillips’s part. If Phillips was a competent leader he would have seen deficiencies or incompetency with these officers, addressed the issues accordingly and focused on retaining as many as he could as opposed to losing seasoned, experienced officers.
Of course, Phillips will present to the citizens a few resignation letters from a few officers who portrayed Phillips in a positive light. Make no mistake folks police officers don't leave law enforcement on a whim. There is always an underlying issue that prompts an officer to leave prematurely.
Phillips is now whining about a bike patrol program when he should be managing his department in a professional manner and keeping tabs on what his officers are doing. The need for such a program is just not there. On the other hand, good old fashioned downtown foot patrol could be put to good use at no additional cost to the tax payer.
When was the last time you saw Phillips, the leader of the PD, walking foot patrol downtown during the day? Answer: Never.
Winchester has more officers than they really need. Check the overlapping shifts (pay close attention to Wednesdays)and compare the calls for service to the officer’s activity logs. You will find a lot of down time.
To save the town money during these trying economical times, implement the following:
Put the officers on 5 days on and 2days off with a swing shift instead of the 4/10 hour day’s w/3 days off. This will allow for better coverage with less overtime issues. Or go with 12 hour shifts. Restrict the officers to x amount of miles driven per shift (excluding legitimate calls)and mandate more time to be dedicated to foot patrols and business contacts during the day and evening shift. Mandate the midnight officer to stay centralized to the downtown area for the majority of his/her shift. This would enable the officer to respond to calls from a more centralized location as opposed to responding from the other end of town. This would reduce unnecessary mileage, excessive wear and tear on the vehicle and conserve fuel consumption. It would also reduce loitering and disturbance issues in the downtown area.
Again, check the calls for service against the amount of man hours spent on each shift and one will find that there are too many officers in the office during the day shift, hence, mismanagement of personnel.
This isn't rocket science folks. It's just good old fashioned common sense. WPD is not a huge department that needs a huge budget and lots of toys.
Phillips needs to concentrate on officer moral and officer retention before he worries about money for special programs. The town is spending too much money training officers who don’t stay long enough for the town to recoup from their investment.
Example: The newest female officer was in field training at full time pay with Jette for several months. She is in the academy at full time pay until December and when she graduates she will train for two more weeks and she will be on her own for a few months until Hurley returns from Iraq and she will revert back to part-time. What a waste of time and money. The tax payers paid for a full time officer and only got the officer for a few months. Boy did Phillips sell the citizens a bogus bill of goods.
Jette proved without a doubt through his antics and actions that there is no need for a second Sergeant position let alone the need for another officer. The town has enough part-time officers to fill any vacant shift at very little expense to the tax payers.
Speaking of taxpayer money, and this is off the subject, we chip sealed our streets, now we hire a sweeper to sweep up the excess stone that we own, anyone know where the stone is going?
Does anyone know what BDM is doing sweeping in Winchester when we own a sweeper with two other towns?
Want to save money, get rid of three people we don't need, police chief, road agent, and the water superintendent. The town would run just fine and we would save a bundle.
Sheriff Foote said and this is a quote from his letter posted on the Winchester Corruption blog, “In 2009 the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office was not requested to nor did it conduct any internal investigation on you or any member of the Winchester Police Department.”
That's not what Gary and Chris said.
If Dan Reppucci was fired, in 2009, for insubordination for not cooperating in an internal investigation that was conducted by Deputy Kelvin Macie of the Sheriff's Department, in 2009,but the Sheriff says that his department never conducted such an investigation, how could Dan Reppucci get fired for not cooperating in an investigation that never took place? Sounds like it's just what Reppucci said. They went after him because he knew too much about the things they were doing.
I think we, the public, are owed an explanation from the people who's paychecks we pay every week.
How about it Sherm? Gus? Ken? Roberta? Theresa? Gary? Chris?
I almost out of habit mentioned Nate and realized that at least one of the unscrupolous cops is finally off the payroll. Guess you are trying to save the money for the settlement that's bound to be coming down the pike.
Has the Selectmen or anybody else thought about the ramifications and complications if there are any appeals of Nate Jette cases going forward and what that effect might be on the taxpayers?
For those who doubt the status of Nate Jette, there have been some rumors surfacing that people may think that Nate Jette is on some type of leave or vacation or suspension.
It is NONE of the above.
Nate Jette turned in his resignation and here is an email between Bob Gray, Winchester Town Administrator, and another citizen, with Bob Gray confirming that on August 30, 2010, Nate Jette turned in his resignation from the Winchester Police Department.
If requested this email would be available under a RTK from the town hall.

Hi
Nate Jette resigned from the Police Department effective Monday 8/30/10 (Letter received 10AM 8/30) for personal reasons by his own choice.
Bob
I've decided to sharing what I know first hand about Gary Phillips starting with the following:
Dan not getting promoted to Lieutenant
The “agony” the board endured while making their decision
Dan informing Mr. Phillips he will submit a written request asking be to relieved of the
duties and responsibilities of the Lieutenants position
Mr. Phillip’s illogical argument about why he shouldn’t do that
Dan’s logical explanation of why he should
Mr. Phillips telling Dan it was no big deal that he didn’t get the position and in a couple of years he would have it anyway
Dan explaining to Mr. Phillips it probably wouldn’t happen that way
Dan explaining that he couldn’t work under the new Lieutenant Mr. Roberts because he had no integrity, couldn’t be trusted and was targeting officers
Mr. Phillips agreeing with Dan and stating he too doesn’t trust Mr. Roberts and his explanations of why
Mr. Phillips discussing with Dan how Mr. Roberts answered a particular question at the oral board that made even him question his trust, integrity and capability
Mr. Phillips stating that even while answering the question, Mr. Roberts exposed he would violate department policies to complete an assignment he had no authority to initiate to begin with.
An internal investigation that involved Mr. Roberts was brought up and Mr. Phillips and Dan had discussion about that
That internal investigation was requested by Mr. Roberts when he made a complaint against himself for conduct unbecoming an officer
That internal investigation had been given to Dan to investigate and was ongoing at the time of the Oral Board.
The investigation had something to do with Warren Breau and Mr. Roberts going after him.
Discussion of the schedule and how the schedule since Mr. Roberts took it over, was being manipulated and used against certain Fulltime and Part-time members of the Winchester Police Department
Discussion about how Mr. Roberts is known to have used the same tactics in Hinsdale when put in charge of the schedule
Mr. Phillips request for an analysis of the schedule for the past 6 or 7 months so that he could speak to Mr. Roberts.
I plan to elaborate as time permits.
Donna, former (recently relocated) 10+ year Accountant for Cheshire County Finance Department, in Keene, NH.
As Paul Harvey, a well known radio talk show host for those who don’t know who he is, would say and Now for the rest of the story.
First elaboration:
Dan not getting promoted to Lieutenant
On June 17, 2009, at approximately 9 pm, there was an unexpected knock at the door. It was Mr. Phillips who came to OUR home unannounced and unexpected and it is his behavior that is suspect for doing so.
Dan answered the door. The very first words from, Mr. Phillips’ mouth as he greeted Dan were “I have good news, you didn’t get the promotion, but we got a new cruiser”, he proudly announced as he walked through the door.
Mr. Phillips’ flippant greeting and I’m being very generous, was among other things uncalled for, inappropriate, mean spirited and I believe done out of malice and for a reasons only known to him.
The comment showed a lack of leadership and managerial skills and is a testament to the way Mr. Phillips treats Officers in his department, which was with callous disregard for their contributions to him and his department.
Dan had taken on the additional responsibilities of LT., while still performing the job responsibilities of Sergeant and Detective because Mr. Phillips ASKED him to. He did that for almost a year and half AND with NO compensation.
At NO time did Mr. Phillips acknowledge or even thank Dan, again showing a lack of leadership and managerial skills. Instead, he showed his mindset, his mentality of people being disposable to him. Not a good quality for a cop let alone a Chief of Police.
Dan took on the responsibilities requested by Mr. Phillips, for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only – he was asked to do so AND he was told by Mr. Phillips that his intention was to promote him to the position of LT. as soon as the dust settles.
Otherwise, he would have declined to take on the added responsibilities or he would have asked that Mr. Phillips fairly compensate him for the additional temporary responsibilities until such a time as a permanent replacement for Theresa Sepe was found.
That would have been neither, unreasonable nor unfair on Dan’s part.
Instead, Mr. Phillips, told Dan he was going to promote him, instead he used him for almost a year and half, making his budget appear to have a substantial amount of excess funds, by saving him at minimum of $75,000 of salary expenses to his budget line. By not having to pay for anyone, even though the position was in essence filled and the duties of that position being performed by Dan, he made himself look good.
Mr. Phillips did what he did for his own gain, to make himself look good to the BOS and Town and he did that at the Officer’s expense.
If Mr. Phillips was unhappy with Dan’s performance at any time, Mr. Phillips should have removed him from the responsibilities instead of adding to them.
Again, bad leadership, bad role model in my opinion.
Maybe Mr. Phillips philosophy is to deliberately set people up to fail so that he can feed his own ego. He sure has an undeniable track record of doing just that.
Mr. Phillips spoke openly with Dan in my presence and included me in his conversations.
I defy Mr. Phillips to deny that what I have written is truthful and I am fully prepared to defend it if he does.
Visit the other blog:
http://winchesternhcorruption.blogspot.com/
to see New documents and Video of Taser Training being conducted by Chief Andy Wood of Richmond at the request of Mr. Phillips.
I've been told that the manner in which this training was conducted is a direct violation of the Taser International Policy of how to conduct these trainings and theri were a number of violations in the procedure.
Perhaps, Danny Black was a victim of poor and improper trainging.
Second elaboration:
The “agony” the board endured while making their decision –
It struck me as odd when Mr. Phillips said the board “agonized” over the decision.
I felt it was a very significant statement. I knew that the Oral Board that Dan went through, consisted of three Police Chiefs – Chief Kassotis of Fitzwilliam, Chief Guinnard of Peterborough and Chief Letourneau of Dublin. I already knew from Dan that the way it went was that both candidates were supposed to be asked the same questions and then both got graded in points by each of the Chiefs, the scores got added together and whoever had the greatest number of points got the promotion.
Therefore “agonized” would not be a mathematical part of the equation. So who was agonizing and why?
According to Mr. Phillips, the applicants scores were close, but Mr. Roberts score was a few percentage points higher than Dan’s.
Dan didn’t get any consideration for things like, education, assignments, such as the Detective, Prosecutor, Computer Administrator, Equipment Officer, etc.
Why would a Chief of Police not do his own hiring for his 2nd in command anyway? That makes no sense. Then when you do decide to go outside the department, why not pick people from the area? He had a Chief of Police from another county there for crying out loud.
Why not have people who know the area, know the applicants and have worked with these officers before? Doesn’t that make logical sense?
A typical board usually consists of 2-3 police personnel and 1 or 2 civilian members, such as business owners.
Why not have someone like Trevor Croteau, or Chief Busick, or Butch Plifka, or the manager from Mr. Mikes or any number of other well qualified, well respected members of the Winchester Community?
Another words, the very people who are going to be affected by the decision in the first place.
Not some Chief from some town on the other side of the County, who has no contact with anyone except Mr. Phillips, when he goes to the Chiefs meetings every month or so. Not some Chief of Police in another county all together who knows nothing about anything to do with Winchester or it’s people, except that he knows Mr. Phillips.
Butch Plifka, wouldn’t have worked because he was already having problems with the police department, Chris Roberts in particular.
And when was the last time any police department in this area hired their top people through the use of outsourced oral boards?
I can surely appreciate not wanting to appear that there might be favoritism going on but the facts are the favoritism started when the position was posted, in the first place, when it said:
a. the person must be a fulltime certified member of the WPD
b. must either have a college degree or 5 years experience
c. the college degree could be substituted with 10 years of work experience
d. must be fulltime certified and must meet minimum qualifications of sergeant or patrol sergeant
Anybody knowing anything about this police department and there were many, knew that the only 2 people that would qualify under these requirements were Dan Reppucci and Chris Roberts.
So I think maybe the agonizing came from Mr. Phillips and not from these other Chief’s.
Oh and Mr. Phillips isn’t discussing like, test results and such, like personnel information?
Isn’t that a breach of confidentiality when you talk one applicant’s behind the back of the other?
Third, Fourth & Fifth elaborations:
Dan informing Mr. Phillips he will submit a written request asking be to relieved of the
duties and responsibilities of the Lieutenants position
Mr. Phillip’s illogical argument about why he shouldn’t do that
Dan’s logical explanation of why he should
After Mr. Phillips told Dan he didn’t get a promotion and lost by only a few percentage points because the board felt Mr. Roberts had more experience in Lt. duties “like the scheduling”.
Mr. Phillips recently assigned to Mr. Roberts the schedule and he promptly began targeted those he didn’t like, those that had too much information on him and those that were too close to those that had information on him and was discussed in detail that same night.
So Mr. Roberts scored higher because he had making a schedule for six months or so and that made him more qualified in the eyes of these three Chiefs according to Mr. Phillips.
I have read and heard that Mr. Roberts got demoted from his position as Lieutenant while in Hinsdale. Your boss doesn’t usually demote you unless you are underperforming or otherwise not living up to your responsibilities or have shown an inability to perform the tasks properly.
Interestingly, the first 3 letters in the title of Lt., is LIE – is that a code or something for what’s required of the position? Just asking.
When Dan said to Mr. Phillips, he would like to be removed from the responsibilities associated with the Lt.’s position and that he would like to begin passing these responsibilities over immediately, over the course of a reasonable amount of time, now that he had “Officially” promoted someone, Mr. Phillips said that he shouldn’t do that.
Mr. Phillips said numerous times I know you Dan, you’re a professional and you’ll feel differently in the morning.
Dan said yes I am a professional.
“You named your poison Gary.”
Mr. Phillips said NO, he doesn’t think that is a good idea because the newly appointed Lt. didn’t know how to do any of the responsibilities that the job entails.
Dan said, “You shouldn’t have promoted him if he can’t do the job.”
“You named your poison” now live with it.
Mr. Phillips said that “Mr. Roberts CAN’T Do what he does and he needs your help and besides if he were to relinquish any of his Lt. job responsibilities he could devalue his worth to an agency”.
Dan told Mr. Phillips that what he said didn’t really make sense. He started doing Theresa’s job as soon as she left, with no help from anyone and that he had to learn for himself what needed to be done.
He said that he would help Mr. Roberts transition but that he did not to be responsible for his responsibilities.
Mr. Phillips, again said to Dan numerous times I know you Dan, you’re a professional and you’ll feel different in the morning.
I finally had to interrupt and say to Gary, yes that is what I called him,
you really don’t know Dan, and yes he is a professional and he is telling you he doesn’t want to do someone else’s work and not get the recognition and pay that goes along with it and that is not going to change ever and certainly not with a nights sleep. He’s talking about integrity and what is right.
Then I said if you picked the wrong person for the job, it’s your fault and you can’t expect other people to be used because of that.
How little did I know, how on target those words really were.
Dan told Mr. Phillips he will prepare a written request to be Officially relieved of the Lt.’s duties he had been doing and to immediately begin transitioning them to Mr. Roberts.
So here you see a Chief who doesn’t care about his Officers, he cares about himself and his image and what those people can do for him to make himself look good.
Again, showing no leadership.
Gary made the choice, no problem, he, not everyone else needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility for “HIS” decisions.
Think about it. Reppucci was set up by Phillips, Macie and Roberts. Why else all the lies? Roberts didn't like that Reppucci wasn't going after Breau. Breau knew too much about Roberts from when he did his background before getting hired. Roberts himself said he was fired from Hinsdale and when Winchester wanted him they hired him back and let him resign. Right before the oral board Roberts made a complaint about himself to start an internal investigation to try to get Breau fired. Reppucci told Phillips, Breau didn't do anything wrong and it was Roberts who did. Right after that the investigation about Reppucci letter being stolen. Pretty lame and stupid story really. Reppucci wouldn't answer questions without attorney and Phillips got pissed. Said he would fix him. He did, he fired him. Phillips and Roberts thought Reppucci wouldn’t take it so far. They figured if they lied at the unemployment hearing so he couldn’t get unemployment benefits then he’d have no money to fight them and they could make everyone believe their story so they wouldn’t believe Reppucci. Breau was forced out when Phillips started another investigation after Reppucci was gone. Him and Roberts figured that with Reppucci gone they could have their way with him. Breau was up on the game and resigned first. How many others were forced out because of Phillips and Roberts? About 5. Phillips is no leader and Roberts is worse. That’s how rumor has it.

Mr. Phillips telling Dan it was no big deal that he didn’t get the position and in a couple of years he would have it anyway
Dan explaining to Mr. Phillips it probably wouldn’t happen that way
Gary said to Dan after he made that extremely unprofessional and totally out of line comment about a cruiser being good news in light. Compared to Dan failing to score enough points to get promoted to Lt. That comment, I have on good authority, Phillips actually admits saying and then tries to justify why he made the comment, but never offers an apology for the downright inappropriate, leadership lacking comment made in the first.
Dan was quite clear with Phillips and told him that he was a professional, that he would continue to do his job as he had always done in a professional manner, that he would help facilitate the transfer of the duties he was no longer, by job description responsible for, over to Mr. Roberts and that he would immediately start applying to other agencies. This is a common in the police world to give advance warning because of background checks.
Again, Mr. Phillips frustrated response was, “you are a professional and you will feel differently in the morning”.
To which Dan reiterated, “yes I am a professional and I will be applying to other agencies”.
I defy Mr. Phillips to deny that what I have written here and all other previous posts is truthful and I am fully prepared to defend it if he does.
