After reading the “dog pile” called the Winchester Meeting Minutes I came to the conclusion we are screwed as a town, Morel is bailing before the bust. Good bye and do not let the door hit you in the arss. Hinsdale figured you out and fired your sorry arss!

Today's Sentinel had the Winchester tax rate, it went down and according to Ms Morel its because of the money that the school turned back in.I have no problem with that statement because the NEW school board is doing the job they were voted in to do. But I'm sure that statement was made so last years budget committee would get no credit for the good job they did. Don't know why she is leaving but I'm sure it will be interesting when the word gets out.

BY BY, I agree, cant wait to see how the New Hand Picked budget committee explains next years tax rate. Oh sorry, if your are in the click, you don't have to explain.

So what happened to all of the money left over in previous years? I heard that the school kept it in it's own bank account and never returned it to the town, where'd it go?

Service--NOT said...

Can't imagine anyone quiting a job that pays a living wage with benefits, when you only work 3 and 4 days a week. Side note-talked to someone who needed to register a car Friday, not going to happen in Winchester.

Let me tell you my version of past school board members games then you will know why Kevan Whippie must also go also to finish the house cleaning.

Superintendent Dr. Crisafulli at severfal town budget meetings proclaimed over the years how the school board turned back money to the town just about every year. Till one time budget committee member Bob Davis had the cohonies to asked Crisafulli if you keep proclaiming to the budget committee about turning back money to the town each year then can you produce a copy of the check you wrote or did you give the town cash from a suit case. Crisafulli stated we do not actually give the money back to the town we put in a special account to lower the amount what we will ask next year. Then Davis asked, why didn't you return the money this year, the town’s people are loosing their homes and they need the help with this years with taxes! Crisafulli stated they do not have to returrn the money by law. This is after they spend (aka wasted) all they can by law like paying next years rental on computers, buying next years oil and paving the parking lot out back the school and hiring more teachers. This was all done under Duquette and Dumb Dumb Arss Whippie watch and that is why Whippie must be dumped at election time/ We see the new school board doesn’t play their games under Rick and Elisha watch. We have the right board now and a much better school board after we finishing cleaning house with Whippie gone.

If someone wanted to run for the town clerks position, and campaigned on the service angle, they would stand a good chance of winning. The reason stated by the town clerk at deliberative for the tax collector being full time was because they needed those hours for some Saturday mornings and Friday nights, and then they went to four days. Wake up Town Hall people, you have service jobs and you could lose it. Some of you might want to spend a little less time going here or there on company time, the tax payers in town are not all blind, and may support a change in management.

No one will be successful running against one of The Shermanator’s home-boys, because The Shermanator and with Ken The Garter Snake’s help will change all the absentee ballots needed to keep James as town clerk.. .

James was hand picked by Marge Austin, the cost of James’ training at the state office was all paid by you the tax payers.

Noticed in some earlier minutes that the selectmen were voting on borrowing $1,250,000 to cover their financial needs. Don't suppose that it has anything to do with such a high tax rate? Guess the tax payments must be lagging a bit. Good job guys. Hope the budget committe can read the minutes to that meeting.

The chairman of the budget committee is hand picked and in lockstep with the select board, don't expect much from the people who can think for them selves, they are out numbered.

Under the Obama's second term municipal borrowing is going to get more expensive in 2013. The interest rates for towns and cities was next to nothing but in 2013 it is going to change. Municipalities enjoyed a little or nothing interest rate to borrow say against anticipated taxes, or borrow to build a Margaret Sharra bridge and sidewalk to nowhere or fire truck that we do not need or a Ford F550 truck to use for personal business.

You vote, you decide!

This bridge to nowhere really makes me speechless with astonishment, this town with such a high tax rate and families loosing their homes wants to build a stinking bridge and sidewalk to Kulicks Mall when everyone has at least two cars and even the people receiving welfare have a newer cars than me. I am on a fixed income and was shopping for bare necessities like bread, milk and a few things to make a casserole for supper when a man and a women in front of me unloaded two cart loads of food. *(I must comment not one roast or chicken or things to make a casserole). I can not imagine anyone on food stamps carrying all those grocery up Sharra’s bridge and sidewalk. No! The couple loaded their thiings into a car and drove off. Does anyone think if the town had a bridge they would walk them home to save money.

Lower the tax rate and maybe just maybe people would come to town invest.

As I see it there are two main problems in this town, both stemming from a lack of leadership and citizen involvement.
All of the positions in this town can be part time positions, there is no need of anyone being a full time employee including our town clerk. We could go to a part time hourly schedule of Mon,Wed,Friday; 8am til 1:00pm .. Tues and Thursday eves .. 3pm to 7:00pm and an 8am to 1:00pm schedule on Saturday. All depts. don't have to be open for all hours either.
That's 6 days of service compared to the 4 we have now and less hours for town employees to get paid for doing nothing.
We need to make sure that people in these positions are the most qualified and knowledgeable and not just hired because of whom they associate with or who they are related to. in order to do that we would have to make ALL positions elected ones or insure that those who appoint openly advertise for qualified individuals.
We need competent, fiscally responsible town leaders to oversee town employees and to act in the best interest of ALL of the town's people; not just their cronies and themselves.

We really need to clean house and get a fresh start.

Lastly we need to take a step back in these tough times and cut out all of the wasteful spending and stop trying to put on airs like this town is some gateway to the stars. We're a small, going nowhere, dieing town with no business and no local jobs all because of a few irresponsible, greedy people in control who have been lining their own pockets for years off the taxpaying hard working people of Winchester.
Anyone with half a brain can see what has been going on behind the proverbial curtain and what it's going to take for things to change.

It's 2013, it's a new year; wake up all you comatose individuals and get involved in how this town goes forward or continue to be the anchor that holds the rest of us back.

Today's Sentinel--Front Page--Winchester to search for new leader--by Meghan Foley. Maybe the selectmen could ask the applicants if they intend to spend more than 2 or 3 years in Winchester if they get the job. I'm sure that someone that works for the town has a friend or relative that would like to work 3 and 4 days a week and make a decent living.

According to Encarta ® World English Dictionary your blog states..... sensible, practical, pragmatic, reasonable, rational, matter-of-fact, down-to-earth, level-headed
truthful, accurate, faithful, representative, genuine, true, lifelike, convincing, credible, true-to-life, natural, authentic reasoning but it is impractical because your dealing with people of Winchester. These people do not function normally. They like be lead around by their noses like sheep, If you can get threw to them to communicate, good luck. You would have been luck talking to your dog!
What you wrote makes sense but in Winchester they do not do things that make sense.

BOS Meeting 12/26/12, The Wallock property on rte 78, Owners want to solve a lot problem. Don't know the ins and outs, but it shouldn't be any problem with two of our selectmen illegally working down there. The old saying, one hand washes the other.

Looks to me like Avitar does not want to participate in the selectman's dance party. A survey to determine land boundaries makes perfect sense. Sounds like they are looking for the tape and transit survey with the stamp on the drawing. Oops-no more hand in the cookie jar.

Anyone know why the PD would hire two suspended officers from Hinsdale?

Anonymous said...

Because they are the only officers who would want to work here. and after all, isn't that how we got our Chief and Lt.?

Anonymous said...

Speaking of Avitar, how come they are going back to the same houses they checked last year? They have now been here 5 times in 2 years, what's up with that bs?

Anonymous said...

Jan 9th, what did you do, piss someone off in the town hall?

Not Legal said...

By law, once every 5 years. Evidently Joan or the BOS keeps putting you on the list for personal reasons. HARASSMENT! Send them packing and report the town to the State. Going back to the same few houses year after year does not give a fair assessment of property values in the town.

Yup, harrasment said...

Municipalities are mandated by the state of New Hampshire to measure and inspect all properties at least every five years. A Cycled Inspections program is mandated with one-fifth of the town being measured and inspected every year on a rotating basis.
If you are being hounded it's because you are being harassed by certain people downtown and should report this to the state and tax court. There is no justifiable reason to keep putting your property on a list to be reevaluated every year unless you are doing continuous improvements, add-ons etc. If not then they are just busting your lower extremities and you can legally refuse entrance to your home and report the assessing company also as they should have a list of homes they already visited.

I see Hinsdale is getting a brand new tractor supply store. To bad our planning board has such a bad reputation, just maybe they would have thought about our town, but who in their right mind would want to deal with our planning board and move their company here.
Oh well maybe we can get some more section 8 housing and a branny new trailer park.
Oh happy days are here.

Anonymous said...

Talk had been going around town back a while ago , that Tractor Supply was interested in Winchester. Guess they must have talked to someone at the town hall, and that took care of that.

If it isn't associated with noise or pollution like Triple T or Mitchell Sand and Gravel or that other ridiculous power company project or another unwanted, unneeded race track or some low income condo type scheme it won't make it past Maggie's desk. The word is out and has been for a long time, grease the palms or go away. No legitimate, honest, reputable businesses will ever come here with the people they have to deal with at town hall and we have no one to blame but ourselves for the mess this town is in.
