Eugene de Lalla is the only sensible write in choice for every position.

Article 7, with 2 employees retiring this year, maybe its time to use local venders, with trucks and plows, when needed, instead of buying a tuck and replacing the retired employees. I bet if there is a NO vote on this Article, there will be a new truck purchased anyway.

Well that's a dandy idea - instead of permanent staff hire independent contractors as needed. No benefits to pay, no maintenance, no overtime, no equipment. No staff hanging around not even trying to look busy.

Warrant articles 19, 20, 21. Why should the town hand out more tax breaks? Makes for greater tax burden on the few left.

2:23PM, its the way the state operates. If the town wants to save more money, lay off the road agent, and let the foreman, do the ordering and lay out the days work.

Two members of my family got lay'ed off this Friday do to foreign competition. This has nothing to do with Winchester, but I would like to point out that new fire trucks and pay raises would be a BIG issue if they lived in this town. Apparently our select board have more money than the average citizen's of most towns and don't get the fact that most of us are taped out. Also the benefit package for our employees has got to be the best in the world. I don't expect anything to change, I just hope my house will sell when I run out of money, or maybe I can get some under the table work on rte. 78 like some people we all know.
