How can we help?

We thank all of the citizens of Chesterfield, Hinsdale and Winchester who came out and voted on Nov. 2

We appreciate your faith and confidence in the process and in us. Each one of us is committed to do our best to serve you.

We know that we will need to confront many significant challenges over the next two years. However, talking directly with so many of you has given us a reservoir of strength that will carry us through what may be difficult times.

Over the next two years, if you wish to talk to us about an important policy issue, or if we might be able to assist you with a problem that may involve the state of New Hampshire, please do not hesitate to call any one of us.

On behalf of Bill Butynski, 60 River Road, P.O. Box 105, Hinsdale, N.H. 03451-0105, telephone 336-7498; and Henry A.L. Parkhurst, One Parkhurst Place, Winchester, N.H. 03470-2460, telephone 239-8945

Perhaps our representatives would explain who supported a bill that cost us tens of thousands of dollars in Winchester. The one that allowed the public housing to be taxed differently than our own homes. According to town documents , we lost 1.7 million dollars in taxable property values here in Winchester, which means that the lost revenues were tacked on to your home bill. Explain that one Mr. Carr? You want to help the town , then present another bill to do away with that law. Are you another legislator that is all talk and no action when it comes to the people who support government? Do something substantial and help the town a bit.

To the anonymous person above;
Why don't you just give Mr. Carr a call and discuss this with him? Why blame the man for something that took more than one vote to pass? Pretty narrow minded of you.

Kind of nasty to ask Mr. Carr for help and badmouth him all the same time. I didn't vote for Mr. Carr but he did win and deserves the respect of the people he serves.Being nasty is not going to change his politics.

Henry Parkhurst deserves nothing from us voters, if you think this man is in office to help us your only Bull$hitting yourself! Parkhurst does not deserve the title of your honorable.

Look how he nosily injects his opinion into official town elections, depriving people of their rights to a fair and honest election. Parkhurst as school moderator was a total embarrassment while his behavior intended to make the school deliberative session look silly and ridiculous. Shirked his obligations, responsibilities March 2 to the voters for a fair and honest election with his un-elected duties to replaced Ken Harvey as town election moderator by allowing selectmen to open absentee ballots and the other 22 voter fraud complaints to the attorney general office.

Honorable is reserved for people who earn the respect, thank you

Perhaps our representatives would like to tell the citizens of Winchester how we can rid the town of corruption? It seems to me that there is information out there that specific members of boards should resign to avoid conflict of interest. We need to know how to do this and not fear retribution. After all that is all that some of these people understand.

It's not John & Margaret's money they are spending on lawsuits. At least that is how they see it in their heads. And it's NOT in their back yard.

We need stronger environmental laws, adopting provisions like they have in California and Massachusetts; stricter DES enforcement and more citizens watchful eyes to make absolutely sure polluters don't come here and get away with what's been happening for a very long time.

Our legislation in Concord is so hell bent on allowing any type of business to come into the state to provide tax revenues, that they won't pass strong laws to protect the environment; this needs to change and change now. New Hampshire is the most lax state in the Northeast and it's ruining our forests our drinking water and our quality of life.

I challenge all of you, Dan, Bill and Henry to convince other law makers it's time to protect the people of New Hampshire and it's environment from out of state polluters and businesses with no regards for the anything but the almighty buck.

Public employee pensions are killing this state. We cant change what people were promised but we can change the pensions for the future. Mr. Hildreth head of banking in NH wasforced to retire, gets his medical benefits for life, that's sick. Some police retire with $100,000 a year pensions because of O/T and detail work, we are doomed if we don't change.
