Merry Christmas To All

We would like to wish all of our faithful supporters and those of you who have contributed to this blog, a very safe and happy holiday.

You better watch out
     You better not cry
      Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out Who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!
O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

I hope the town employees and police officers enjoy their Christmas gift from all of us, another performance raise for all of them while some of us struggle to put food on the table. What a slap in the face to us all.

NO increase in SS again this year, but Medicare went up, so we all get LESS money. Hope someone will keep that in mind.

Happy New Year! said...

Here is hoping that next year brings us restored order and less taxes!

My New Years Wish said...

The only way to restore order in our town is to vote out the irresponsible people we have in office now and vote in people who care about restoring our town to one that is for all of the people and not just a select few who think that they are so much better than the rest of us. We can only hope some very good people step up and run for office this coming election, I for one have had enough of the same old bunch.

gee, you think you could of posted these things under some other topic instead of the Merry Christmas one, Im really getting worried about some of the folks in town.

Gee - Perhaps this time of year we reflect on the coming year and if your immediate thought is about improving Town politics & taxes, then this is NORMAL! Here's to PEACE & LOVE

Merry Xmas to you and your family Informer(s). Thank you for providing all of the information you do and I look forward to another year of your hard work and efforts to keep us all informed about our town.

The Other Side said...

If you believe the crap that is being posted on this site, perhaps you would be interested in the seaside resort property we are presently offering in Hinsdale! You folks are being taken for a ride by a bunch of individuals that continue to post more misinformation and ill will than I have ever seen. Forget about the truth, just post whatever gets you a little notoriety amongst the rest of the morons. Get the facts and speak the truth.

Happy New Year

Another mental midget comes to bash the Informer. The only misinformation associated with this blog comes from people like yourself who refuse to believe facts or attempts to twist them for their own personal gain. Calling people morons who are concerned about the way they are being screwed over by a bunch who feels they can do whatever they want and continuously find themselves going to court to defend their actions is quite a bit off the mark; but typical of someone who feels threatened by information posted on this blog.
Go back to the "other side" we've heard these ramblings before.

And Chicken Little said what? Keep up the good work conspiracy theorist. Grab your rebel flag, a pack of smokes, bottle of booze, and double barrel shotgun and brace yourself for the enemy coming over the ridge to take away your freedom (and possibly your double wide). LIVE FREE OR DIE.

Who has the real estate listing for that Hinsdale property? I was thinking about moving out of my double wide and leave the wife with the dogs and cat. Can't stand the smoke any more.

Mr. Misinformer:
You should not call my fathers illegitimate son by my sister a mental midget. He may lack a few teeth however he is not stupit.

Mr. Misinformer

So answer this question, how many lawsuits has the town of Winchester lost in the last few years? If they keep winning were they not right?... or are the judges in the pockets of these town leaders too??? Can't we all just get along? (Rodney King)

We aren't fooled said...

Someone must be off of their drugs.... What? Do you want people to post something on the "good" blog - that will never get posted because it didn't come out of the mouth of the creator?

Ah - you must be an "angel" from the "otherside" because if you live in Winchester you are living in HELL! You can believe that...to be a fact.

Have you ever found any "facts" to prove this site wrong? There are none -

Thank you informer for supplying the information that we need to make an informed decision. Obviously, you have rattled a cage as once again we have the blogger, who likes to appear as an "idiot" or one that is functioning without both oars in the water. I would say that this person does this to throw some people off course and make them wonder if they are crazy. To those of you who are wondering I say no you are not crazy it is just another trick that the powers that be use. The informer must be on the right track as we have not heard from this person for a while. So, informer keep up the good work and for the rest of you, who are afraid to take a stand, remember that no one knows how you vote! Gus Ruth said it himself "know who you are voting for". Yes, Gus I am the one that is still waiting for you to resign. I did not vote for you as I could see your despicable behavior last year at town meeting. A zebra does show his true stripes.

I am very curious now about the post December 28, 2010 9:28 PM
has the town of Winchester lost any court cases that have been filed against them in recent years?

Anonymous said...

They lost to Brian Moser! - but I couldn't tell you what year that was. They also lost to the Keene Sentinel for Right To Know (go figure - perhaps someone should mention that to Joan).

Besides, they are only going to publish the ones they win...not the ones they have lost.

the Winchester Informer said...

To find out how many court cases have been filed against the town, why, when and how many went before a judge, you would have to ask the town's administrator.
Remember under their new policy you have to be specific, give the proper dates and circumstance. Also remember suits have been filed against the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Board of Selectmen and the Tax Office for example.

With their new Right To Know policy, you may have difficulty obtaining the information you seek..good luck.

One last fact; court cases are public information that anyone can review and ask for a copy at the court house. This may further help you in your search for information if the town stonewalls you.

Anonymous said...

I dont think the person wanted to know how many were filed but how many were lost.....You can file 1000 invalid cases. I think knowing the number of cases the town has lost is the important fact.

Talking to a couple that live in the Scotland road area. They said that they watched the hwy crew leave work and convoy from the work site around 11;30 and convoy back around 1;30 daily, that's a 2 hr lunch folks. Now after reading some of the posts on this web site, I guess this family was lying.

Anonymous said...

Like the Informer said, go ask yourself if you are so interested and stop with your nonsense.

What's the matter ED no one posting on your blog so you have to come here and start your crap again? Get a life, take your meds and don't forget to attend your "group" this week.

the Winchester Informer said...

Let's see, lunch is at 12:00, so you leave 1/2 early to be sure you're at the town barn by 12:00 to eat. Lunch is an hour, so you're suppose to be done by 1:00 and back on the job site. But you're not. Then a 1/2 ride back to the job site .. that makes for a 2 hour time frame; so why are you calling these people you talked to liars? Getting paid an hours time for riding back and forth EACH DAY isn't right. That's 5 hours a week we pay for non service for each employee involved.
Over 52 weeks a year that adds up to thousands of dollars taxpayers shell out for travel time, wasted fuel and wear and tear on town equipment. Do you think this is right?

Why doesn't the highway dept eat on site like other workers do, why do they HAVE to go back to the highway building to eat? They are getting paid to work 8 hours a day, not seven.

PICKY said...

Informer, I think the point the poster was trying to make was even though the people saw this every day if they report it they will be labeled as liars by a recent poster. Heck that's just part of the wasted time at hwy. Try the AM coffee click, or in the vehicles and headed home before 3;30. Unless there is a storm or some other problem you don't get close to 7hrs of production. Everybody in town talks about it but no one does anything about it. I think someone on the board said we are being picky. As the guys retire, maybe its time to privatize the truck work, then none of this will matter.

Anonymous said...

If you are concerned about litigation, talk to Mr. Towne about wasting our tax dollars defending stupid claims he brings.. which in the end get thrown out. He is out of touch and we tax payers end up paying for his senseless lawsuits..

PICKY 2 said...

PICKY, you have a point. Came from recycle today, went by hwy at 3;31, no vehicles in the yard. If you work until 3;30 its kind of hard to be off the property in one minute. One has to wonder if they are that prompt getting to work. I would at least try to work a full day on dump day, and we are looking at a possible performance bonus, I don't get it.

Mike Towne said...

To the misinformed person who hides behind the anonymous option when posting and singles me out; you are the one that is out of touch and wrong on all counts. I filed one lawsuit against the town's Planning Board over their actions and Sharra's exparte' communications with people outside of Planning Board meetings and her official capacity as chairman of the board. Not only did the judge agree with me and find her guilty, he ordered the Board to grant me a reconsideration hearing. Because they made a mockery of the reconsideration hearing without me, I filed an appeal to the State Supreme Court and they accepted that appeal. As for wasting taxpayer dollars, put the blame where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders of Margaret Sharra, not me. I did nothing wrong, she did. She works for the town; therefore to get relief I had to sue the town. Get your facts straight before you comment on something you know absolutely nothing about. I believe in standing up for my rights and when wronged I'll fight back with every legal option available to me. If you feel this is stupid and senseless, that's your problem.

done this in the past said...

To the fool who commented that courts will accept invalid cases; your words by the way, you are so wrong it's almost funny. Courts will only accept cases with a valid, lawful, complaint. Many filings do not get accepted, those that do have to show absolute proof that a wrong has been committed under written law and statutes. Sometimes after a filing a settlement is reached before going to court; this is not a win for either side; but a compromise based on law. To get the facts you seek, go to the town's financial department and ask for a copy of all legal expenses paid out for the years you are concerned about. Ask for a detailed list of costs which will give you a breakdown of what the money was spent on and then do your own research to see what the outcomes were.

To "done this in the past" you clearly don't know what you are talking about. Lawsuits are filed every day that have no merit. The defendant must respond, spend money, and then if the case is BS it is either dealt with or a costly trial results. You are wrong that spurious lawsuits are reviewed and thrown out by the Court on its own. The parties get their day in Court. Get the facts before posting.

Anonymous said...

Like the Ed Lake case? I suppose that was spurious BS. It's you that clearly needs to bone up before you comment. Your ignorance is showing.

Anonymous said...

You can't use Ed Lake's case as an example - that was a "felony" case. Different deal...supported by police evidence and then proven by his inability to comply with the court's orders.

The newspaper said misdemeanor did we miss something?

Assault and battery on your wife and criminal threatening; "I'll blow your head off", are not misdemeanors fool. This guy is dangerous not only to his family; but to anyone he perceives as a threat to him. Further he has a drinking problem and is on anti-depressant medication, a real walking time bomb.
I hope they throw the book at him in February.
