When did the Selectman start posting letters in their minutes? Isn't that odd? The resignation letter in there is hilarious! "security for the community"? Come on! There is a lot to read between the lines (free loader) and one wonders (who wrote it for him) where he came up with some of the crap (self righteous bull) he spouted off about. How many years did we support his family (free education for two children)?
Our BOS don't like it when the members of the budget committee question the amounts of money they dole out to the department heads and attempt to make cuts based on sound fiscal responsibility. The BOS wants to keep those supporters happy so they will often override the suggestions of the budget committee and give them what they want no matter how their actions may affect the rest of the community. Ken Gardner, like Sherm Tedford and Gus Ruth needs to find something else to do with his time
The budget committee is discovering a fact many families are struggling not only to pay their property taxes but struggling to pay their water and sewerage bill, while the town employee are asking for increases in their depts. If the dept budgets passed as recommended by the BOS.
Water and sewage dept superintendent jobs are now combined under one person. His salary will rise from $39,352.00 to $59,716.00.
No budget cuts will survive the budget committee if committee members like Kevin Whippie and others who refuse to follow parliamentary rules. When at Tuesday's budget meeting took advantage of a small unrepresentative budget meeting (two members were absent) when it was apparent that his actions of revisiting police and highway dept budgets, knowingly if it passed it was in opposition to the majority views of the members.
This maybe the way the school board plays but it must not be the normal for the town budget process.
This is a cheap shot at the tax payers and Kevin Whippie should be reprimanded or a vote of no confindence, removed as the school board appointed member to the town budget committee.
Sadly it doesn't mean anything to be voted no confidence, Kim Gordon was and we still have to deal with her on the planning board. Bob Davis can actually loose his bid and be voted off the budget committee by voters only to be appointed, so why even bother with Kevan.
To Mr. Anony, It must suck to be you. It seems your against anyone who wants to stop the special deals made by the circle of friends at the town hall. I must say having Bob Davis appointed to the budget committee and Kim Gordon on the planning board is a good thing for the tax payers and a bad note for the spenders of your hard earned tax dollars. That's if you pay any taxes at all. Whom are you going to side with, higher taxes or Mr. Davis & Ms. Gordon.
The town cronies like you hate people like Mr. Davis & Ms Gordon, anyone that hates Mr. Davis & Ms. Gordon I am in favor of. If Henry Parkhurst didn't preside over the most dishonest election ever.. Mr. Davis would have been elected to the budget committee right now.
I hope Mr. Davis runs for the office and pokes his finger in every cronies eyes at town hall.
Anony, face it your just one of the supports of John Stetser and the fact Mr. Davis orchestrated his removal . So get over it! He is gone,.
Winchester has to much unaccounted for free money we can afford to fly Gus Ruth and Margaret Sharra fat arrs around the town to take pictures of your backyard to see if your in compliance, or what about the tax payer’s legal fees for Ms. Sharra.
Is this is what you want your hard earned tax dollars spent on, it so you probably do not pay property taxes in Winchester.
If anyone needs to take a chill pill it's you ^. No matter what anyone blogs about or points out you are always here ready to ridicule .. get lost, you're an annoying child.

I am part of a group of Winchester citizens completely opposed to dirty and hazardous businesses, like asphalt and wood burning plants wanting to come into town at the expense of our quality of life. I am concerned about preserving the rural character of Winchester. These types of development have no benefits for Winchester citizens and they create many health hazards and will cause the destruction of green space. Our Winchester is known for its precious natural resources; dramatic rocky slopes, unique wetlands and abundant wildlife. I feel there are many questions concerning these proposed projects that outweigh any benefits. The increase in traffic along existing streets and noise and air pollution would be very significant. I am also concerned that the town infrastructure cannot cope with the problems these types of businesses will demand. Furthermore, I am very discouraged with the Planning Board and Zoning Boards and feel they have been negligent in their duties to protect neighboring residents from health hazards and safety issues that will surely arise and affect the lives and livelihoods of many citizens.

Looks like selectmen Gardner is pissed that the budget committee is not rubber stamping the select boards wishes.

I guess the Budget Committee is an Excellent One if the BOS comment that they are the worst!

Wow Rick, can you spell Prozak?
If anyone needs to take a chill pill it's you ^. No matter what anyone blogs about or points out you are always here ready to ridicule .. get lost, you're an annoying child.
I would be willing to bet the only reason you know how to spell Prozak is that you read it off of your own bottle!
Correct spelling of "prozak" is PROZAC, also known as fluoxetine.
just sayin...
