We have been contacted by several individuals that have made complaints to the “powers that be”, but they are falling on deaf ears. We wanted to give everyone a public forum on which they can have an opportunity to voice their complaints publicly. Perhaps by posting about these issues on a public forum, it will prompt some action from those in charge and hopefully resolve these problems.
Keep in mind, there is no need for name calling. Just explain what the situation is/was that has upset you and let us know how it was or wasn’t resolved.

People are concerned about the backlash from saying anything....
Let's just say we need a competent baseball coach and leave it at that.
Pay particular attention to the sentinel's help wanted ads. The ELMM Center wants employees who can submit to a background check. Hmm, interesting if it has not been done on other employees or perhaps the findings have been lost. It is in our best interest to make certain that the children are safe. Children need to be protected. Sometimes friends as not what we percieve them to be!
What no town employee with kids or friends that need summer work?
ROCHESTER, N.H. --
The coach of a youth baseball team in Rochester has been given a restraining order against the father of one of his 7-year-old players, after he accused the father of yelling at him during a game and again later over the phone.
“I feel very scared for my safety around him,” Troy Taylor wrote in paperwork filed at Strafford Superior Court.
Taylor said the father, Frank Cunha, of East Rochester, yelled at him and then called his home twice after Taylor chose to bench Cunha’s son during a game on June 7.
Taylor said he benched the child after he allegedly threw a rock at another teammate's head. Taylor also said the boy had thrown a bat during a game three days before.
Cunha’s attorney said his client never had a verbal altercation with Taylor and was only defending his son after Taylor berated him in front of the team.
"It's really unfortunate this has occurred, because we're dealing with 7-year-old kids," said Peter Mathieu, Cunha's lawyer.
Cunha claims Taylor made posts on Facebook calling Cunha derogatory names and saying he wanted to throw Cunha’s two children off the team. Mathieu called the restraining order an overreaction.
"When you don't agree with someone, you try to work it out," he said. "Not the way it's been done here."
The president of the Roger Allen Baseball League has ordered that a member of the board be stationed at all games this season, according to Taylor.
A hearing is scheduled for June 21
