I'm sorry you feel that we don't need sidewalks in a town our size.We have a large population of people with no cars and kids walking to school and I feel sidewalks are not a nice "option" but something necessary. You would think Mr. Plifka would help out on this, Isnt one of the proposed sidewalks going to help people get down Rt 10 and around the corner to his little monopoly?
The only place the "new sidewalks" are going is right down Main and around the corner towards the plazas, not all over town where they would do the most good. Sharra is behind this effort to enhance the property she was trying to sell and for no other reason. Wake up and get the whole story before you post or perhaps you do know the whole story and are trying to twist public opinion.
excuse me "Sharra's Folly said"...
YOU need to read before you post. The above comment mentioned the sidewalk going to Kulicks.
I cant think of to many other streets that dont allready have a sidewalk, can you.
Who said the sidewalks will extend all the way to Kulick's? Why do some of you keep using him as an excuse for everything going on in this town? It was Sharra who wasted out tax dollars and time searching for grants and other crap to help her promote her property on Main Street. It is because of her we are wasting money looking at bus routes and other bs we don't need.
Why should Mr. Plifka shell out money to the town for sidewalks, it isn't his duty to do this, it is up to the town to provide for it's citizens; not the other way around. Should the town require you to pay for one in front of your house or send you a bill for the paved road you drive on? Get real will ya and stop with all of your nonsense.
There are just too many idiots in this town for it's own good. I swear there's a sign that says welcome to Foolsville or something that brings them here. Either that or there's some truth to the rumor that there's too much inbreeding going on.
Have the town employees tar a sidewalk to Kulicks like they did on Parker Street..fru'in nice job, they can just pave over the stumps and boulders like Dale Gray does all over town. Maybe Dale could use some of that special oil and sand that will stick to the bottom of your shoes.
Let Dale Gray know how you feel,, dgray@winchester.nh.gov
