Planning Board Meeting Minutes 03-21-16

It's a shame that we pay for a website that is never updated. Guess the Land Use Administrator is just too busy these days to upload the meeting minutes in a timely fashion. Maybe if she didn't hold so many positions she'd find the time to do the job she is suppose to be doing.. Listen up BOS, time to stop appointing the same people over and over again..

Dirt, gravel pits, junk yards, noise is all Winchester appeases to. If you ever lived near a shooting range it's worse then anything else like it, but this is Winchester the home of noise.

ENOUGH ALREADY!! said...

Those are the only kinds of business this town can attract. Look at the past record, racetracks, gravel pits, asphalt plants, garbage dumps and wood and refuse recyclers, now it's a damn shooting range. Does anyone else think that a certain group of individuals that not only have ruined the reputation of this town, but are responsible for all of this baloney need to go? Is it any wonder that our town remains the laughing stock of Cheshire County?

And now the new Selectman is pro guns and an ex cop!!!!! Just great. Makes more sense now why they chose him. This is just plain AWFUL.

Gun ranges are unnerving with the pop pop pop. Take a ride up to Sullivan Gun Range and lessen some weekend when they are shooting. You can hear it way up in the village on top of the hill. You people really do not want that in Winchester or do you? Your all have gotten your panties in a bunch here over a compressor 5 miles way over a mountain and now nothing is being said about a shooting range. Where are the signs along the roads, to replace the NO PIPELINE: Oh someone else bought those (like the oil companies)

Heck, the last BOS Minutes were posted on the towns web site Apr. 13th, guess all these 3 day work weeks and leaving time to chat, make it a little hard to get the job done. Or maybe they want it to be OLD NEWS, so there is not so much flack from the rank and file voters and Informer readers.

I think it is time to ask the selectmen. Why is it that Leroy Austin get a town car with free gas to drive everyday from Stoddard. Leroy refuses to help defend the town's tax payers interest. What good is he when we tax payers spend the money for a car the gas, repairs, the insurance? He is not even a dept head. Everyone was up in arms when Dale Gray took the town plow truck home and he lives in town. I wonder if Leroy claims this perk on he tax return?

Maybe the tax payers should look into the perks from the junk yard people on route 10 the racetrack people and now the purposed gun range on Rt119! If you think the noise from the racetracks are bad wait till you hear the gun firing.

He drives first to Keene every day ???? Then all over town. Question how does he do inspections if he NEVER gets out of the car?????

Inspections? What inspections? Oh, the drive-by look-see and collect the fee? If Leroy and Maggie couldn't inspect the rotting building on Main Street before reportedly buying it, what makes you think that they can inspect any other building?
Maybe we should install GPS trackers on town-owned vehicles to keep track of where they actually do go. Might answer quite a few questions and prevent further waste and abuse.

Might want to start with the police cruisers, and when we find them outside of Winchester with no good reason give the driver his or her walking papers.

Isn't that car the old Police Chief's car that was supposedly such a piece of crap and that would cost so much to get fixed that it wasn't worth it? So we pay for another new cruiser to become a personal vehicle and then spend the money any ways, not only to fix the old car, but to repaint it and have the town emblem painted on it; not once but twice. Now it's Leroy's and Margaret's run around the town on our dime car, spotted anywhere in Cheshire County on any given day. Just gotta love how the people of this town get treated.

Most town require the town employees to live in town.
